Achieving an ABT‑accredited teaching qualification makes the process of accrediting your own beauty courses clear and straightforward. You will be able to design and deliver training courses in all treatments for which you already hold ABT‑accredited qualifications. All classroom-based training delivered through The Beauty Academy is fully ABT accredited, giving you the opportunity to confidently establish and grow your own beauty academy.
Once your courses have been approved by ABT, learners who successfully complete them will be eligible to obtain insurance, enabling them to offer their treatments professionally to the public.

This unit explores the role of the teacher within education and training, including professional responsibilities and how teachers work alongside other professionals to support learners.
Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
This unit focuses on inclusive teaching methods that support and engage a diverse range of learners. You will learn how to plan, deliver, and review inclusive teaching sessions and create an environment that motivates and supports all learners. As part of this unit, you will deliver a micro-teaching session and evaluate your own teaching practice.
Understanding assessment in education and training
This unit introduces different assessment methods used within education and training. You will learn how to involve learners in the assessment process, understand assessment requirements, and maintain accurate and appropriate records.
On successful completion of this course, you will gain the confidence and practical skills needed to design and develop your own beauty training courses. These courses can be delivered in any treatments for which you already hold an accredited qualifications, such as those completed through the Coco Couture Academy.
You will be able to secure public liability insurance that includes treatment risks, along with a teaching extension, ensuring you are fully insured to deliver professional training.
You can then apply to ABT to become an approved training provider and have your courses accredited. The accreditation process is clear and straightforward and involves submitting your course documentation, including lesson plans, supporting resources, and your academy certificate.
Once your courses are approved, you will be able to promote and deliver ABT‑accredited training to your own learners. After completing your courses, your students will be eligible to obtain ABT public liability beauty insurance, enabling them to begin offering treatments to clients professionally.
As an ABT‑accredited training provider, you will also gain access to a range of valuable benefits. All course materials for this qualification are provided through our online e‑learning platform. Learning can be accessed from any location and is compatible with mobile devices, allowing you to study whenever it suits you. A reliable, high‑speed internet connection is required to access the online portal and complete the course content.
Learners must have a good standard of written and spoken English to successfully complete the coursework associated with this qualification.
All written assignments are completed electronically and submitted online for assessment. These assignments are supported by detailed e‑tutorials, giving you clear guidance and helping you develop a strong understanding of effective teaching and learning methods throughout the course.
As part of the qualification, you will plan, prepare, and deliver two short micro‑teaching sessions. These sessions can be delivered from home or another appropriate setting, such as a salon environment, with at least two friends, family members, or colleagues acting as learners. Each session must be recorded, and the videos are submitted alongside your written and practical coursework in PDF format for assessment.
There is no requirement to attend one of our training centres. This course is completed entirely online, offering flexibility and convenience. You can study at your own pace, with up to 12 months available to complete the qualification and achieve certification.
